Encaustic Process
Encaustic is a process using melted wax with artwork and burnishing the wax to create an interesting effect. I use wax over fine art photos that have been mounted on European birch plywood with added oil paint over the photo. The work is framed in a wood floater frame (black, walnut, natural or white natural) that stands out from the wall 1 3/4".
